Educational Qualification -
a ) Post No 1 - Those who are Educational Qualification : SSC+ worked in navy or other armed forces, for a period of ten years with the last rank not less than the rank of leading sea man / leading mechanical eng or equivalent are eligible to apply for the posts.
b ) Post No 2 - Certificate of competency as second class master of inland vessel issued by mercantile / captain of ports are required to apply for the post.
c ) Post No 3 - The applicant should possess the Certificate of Competency as 1st/2nd class Master of Inland Vessels, issued by the Captain of Ports or Mercantile Marine Department.

a )Post No 1 and 2 - Upper age of 30 years is set for this post.
b )Post No 3 - Upper age of 40 years is set for this position.
